Warm the brain at UCT’s virtual Winter School

Bookings are open for the University of Cape Town's (UCT) Winter School, a seven-day programme, which will run from 24 to 31 July and will feature several prominent presenters. These include Professor Salim Abdul Karim and Professor Linda-Gail Bekker, leading epidemiologists in the fight against COVID-19, and former Public Protector, Professor Thuli Madonsela.

Exploring a circular economy in South Africa

National accolade for senior UCT water researcher

The Water Institute of South Africa (WISA) has awarded a prestigious Senior Fellow Membership to Dr Kirsty Carden, interim director of the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Future Water Institute (FWI). Dr Carden is an applied scientist in civil engineering, and the fellowship honours her 34-year-long career and many contributions to the country’s water sector.
